AUSOME ALUMNI DAY

AUsome Alumni Day is a one-day event, that takes place every spring, where College of Liberal Arts alumni return to campus to share their experiences and stories. It's also a time to celebrate all CLA alumni and create an active network of connections for students.

CAREER FAIRS

The College of Liberal Arts Career Fair provides opportunities for students to interact with a variety of companies and organizations offering internships and full-time employment opportunities in fields ranging from nonprofit to marketing/sales to media studies to health care.

TIGERS AT WORK

Tigers at Work (TAW) is one-day job shadowing opportunity for current College of Liberal Arts students to gain hands-on experience in perspective career fields. Students will be able to explore opportunities in their potential career field, experience a behind the scenes look at the workplace, learn how to apply their academic major through personal dialogue with industry professionals, assess the “fit” for a particular organization, and make career connections to establish their professional network.

CAREER WORKSHOPS

Career workshops help students learn how their current skills and abilities can be transferred to new career opportunities. The focus of the workshops is to teach relevant and current job search strategies, boost confidence, and improve the college-to-career transition process. Workshops offered through CLA Career Services are Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Interviewing Skills, Digital Presence (LinkedIn & Handshake), Career Fair Preparation, Navigating the Job Search, and Graduate School Preparation.

CAREER TREKS

The Career Trek program provides College of Liberal Arts (CLA) students at Auburn University with a unique opportunity to explore career paths and industries in a proactive, in-person/virtual manner. This program is designed to bring CLA students to professional settings, in order to increase their industry and career knowledge with the "behind the scenes" experience at various companies and organizations.

PRINCETON REVIEW WORKSHOPS

In a partnership agreement with Princeton Review, the students participate in strategy sessions centered on GRE & MCAT. In these sessions, Princeton Review provides facilitators to answer questions on test-taking strategies, general admission guidelines, and the graduate/professional school application process. Additionally, the service will provide GRE and MCAT practice exams to students in the fall and spring semesters.

INDUSTRY DAYS

Industry Days provide students the opportunity to hear from and meet alumni and employers representing various organizations as they come to campus for this one-day event. It provides employers the opportunity to meet students and discuss job/ internship opportunities, as well as showcase the different career pathways in the specific industry.
