Take a Career Assessment:
Identify your interests, value and skills and match them to potential majors and occupations. Schedule an appointment in Advise Assist if you are interested in taking the assessment TypeFocus. Using this assessment may require some training in how to interpret it.
Explore on your own.
If you prefer to do some exploring on your own before coming in for an appointment, here are some good places to start:
Self-knowledge: TypeFocus is a free, self-paced career and education planning tool that enables you to self-assess your career-relevant personal qualities and explore career fields and majors most compatible with your assessment results. To login, use your university email and password. You'll receive a personalized report that offers insight into career choices, career readiness, interpersonal skills, personal branding and learning styles.
Majors: Explore information on different majors and occupations aligned with those majors.
Occupations: Explore information on careers that align with your interests, values and skills.
Make an Appointment
Schedule an appointment with CLA Career Services using Advise Assist. These appointments are scheduled for 30-60 minutes with your career coach and are designed to guide you through all aspects of your career goals. These services are available up to one-year post graduation.
