Join Senior Program Officer Brandon Johnson for a roundtable discussion as part of a National Endowment for the Humanities “listening tour” on Monday, May 4 from 11 am to 1 pm in Room 2310 of the Student Center. We will discuss the future direction of NEH Challenge Grants and how the humanities might respond to the needs and challenges we face as Americans.

The public is invited to the inaugural presentation of the Bert Hitchcock Graduate Award in Southern Studies on Wednesday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m. in the Caroline Marshall Draughon Auditorium of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library. The 2015 recipient, Lydia Ferguson, will discuss “Agency and the Aged Slave: Reality Versus Representation in 19th Century America.”
