Book Talk: More Than A Bird

Attorney and Auburn Trustee Elizabeth Huntley will talk about her recent memoir, More Than A Bird, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities.

The event is free, and the public is invited.

More Than a Bird follows Huntley through her childhood, high school graduation and enrollment at Auburn. She details an emotional journey through poverty and abuse and profiles the men and women whom she believes were placed in her life to help her meet her full potential.

Huntley is a child advocate and regularly serves as a motivational speaker. She earned her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law and practices at Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC in Birmingham.

Refreshments will be served, and books will be available for purchase and signing. The Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities is located at 101 S. Debardeleben St. in Auburn. The historic 1847 Scott-Yarbrough house, known as Pebble Hill, will be open for tours from 3 to 4 p.m.
