Reading program celebrates Bicentennial
Children participating in the Collinsville Public Library summer reading program are celebrating Alabama’s Bicentennial every Tuesday in June.
In honor of Alabama’s 200th birthday, Living Democracy student Hannah White taught the children fun facts about their state and county. Local artist Brandi Still led the group in craft activities, and Robin Rowan shared bilingual stories.
A celebration to wrap up the program will be held July 16 at the library.
