Strategies in Care Webinar Series!
Our free webinar series, Strategies in Care, is designed to help families and caregivers navigate common challenges and implement effective strategies at home. These webinars are currently offered monthly, scheduled on the first Thursday of each month, with projected topics across months detailed below. Attendees can earn up to 1.5 foster parent CEUs.

Understand the impact of screen use and learn approaches for setting healthy boundaries that work for your family.
- June 4 - Fundamentals of Behavior Support
Focus on the foundations of behavior support through a trauma-informed lens, designed to help caregivers and professionals build strong, positive connections with youth. Understand the importance of acknowledging past experiences and trauma while creating safe, supportive environments that promote learning and growth.
- July 9 - Building Healthy Eating Habits
Learn practical strategies to help children expand the variety of foods they eat and improve overall nutrition. Identify and respond to picky or selective eating, teach coping and communication skills around trying new foods, and use structured, trauma-informed approaches to support positive mealtime experiences.
- August 13 - Bridging the Gap with Medication Advocacy
Learn how to partner effectively with healthcare providers, ask the right questions, and feel more confident supporting your child’s care when medication is involved. Increase understanding of medications your child may be taking, practical strategies for tracking target behaviors or symptoms, interpreting patterns in the data, and communicating observations clearly with a care team.
- September 10 - Supporting Youth Through Disrupted Relationships: Behavioral Strategies
Learn practical, behavior-based strategies to support youth who are experiencing disruption in important relationships, such as siblings, caregivers, or other significant people in their lives. Identify and respond to behaviors associated with separation, teach coping and communication skills, and structure routines to reduce distress.
Training Videos

For each video, foster parents can take a quick quiz to earn 0.5 continuing education credits. Resources such as instructions and worksheets are included next to each video.
