Graduate Teaching Assistantships
Many graduate students have an opportunity to become a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) in the Department of Psychological Sciences. The specific duties of this assistantship varies depending on course and instructor, and may include attending class, creating and administering quizzes and examinations, grading, holding office hours, conducting lab sessions, holding review sessions, and guest lecturing.
Instructor of Record
Opportunities exist for becoming an Instructor of Record (IOR) where the graduate student is solely responsible for an undergraduate course. Graduate students who plan to become an IOR must successfully hold a master's degree.
