AUPSC is a psychology training clinic provided by the Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University. Individuals wanting to learn more about AUPSC services offered can contact the main clinic line 334-844-4889 or email aupsc@auburn.edu. Current or prospective clients are encouraged to reach out to our clinic with any questions or to find out more information about our services. If an individual receives a recorded message, the clinic staff is on or away from the phone. Please leave a detailed message and someone will return your call with 24 hours. However, please note that our clinic does not provide any emergency services. If you are experiencing an emergency, you should immediately dial 911 or other available crisis resources listed on the Emergency Situation Tab or report to the nearest emergency room.

Services at our clinic are open to anyone. You do not need to be affiliated with the University in any way to seek services. We welcome clients of all ages, nationalities, gender identities, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and ability/disability.

When you call our main office and a staff member is available, they will ask you questions about what kinds of services you are seeking (therapy or assessment) and your current concerns. If your needs would be better met by a different provider, we will be able provide community referrals.

Because this is a university-based training clinic, clients are assigned to clinicians based on a number of factors, including the availability of a clinician/supervisor combination who are a good fit for you and the presenting problems you have described. It is very difficult to predict exactly how long it may take. It is possible that this could occur very quickly (in a matter of days), or it might take an indefinite period before someone is available. We will call you once a spot becomes available and periodically in the meantime to check-in and confirm that you are still interested in our services. If you have an urgent need for assistance, you may want to try another provider in the area.

Clients come to AUPSC with a range of problems. Many have issues related to their normal development such as identity or relationship concerns. Others are dealing with more specific psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, bereavement, substance abuse, or eating and body image issues. Some clients are not sure what the problem might be but just know they are not functioning or feeling the way they normally do. They might notice having a harder time focusing, eating or sleeping too little or too much, or otherwise just not meeting their day-to-day obligations.

The AUPSC isn’t in network with any insurance which means you do not need a referral to get seen by our clinic.

We are located in Cary Hall at Auburn University on the corner of Donahue and War Eagle Drive. A map and detailed instructions are also posted on the clinic web page at www.auburn.edu/aupsc/driving-directions.

AUPSC is located in Cary Hall on Auburn’s campus. Clients are provided with a visitor’s parking pass to use while on campus for appointments. Parking is easily accessible from War Eagle Way with reserved spaces specifically for AUPSC clients. When you arrive for your appointment, please park in one of the dedicated parking spots on Miller Drive. Additionally, if our parking spots are occupied, the parking passes given out by the clinic allow you to park in any A, B, or C zone parking space and there are many of these spots surrounding the clinic.
