Early Reading Development in Children research study

Do you know a 4–9 year-old who wants to be a scientist?

Share our research opportunity with them to contribute to our understanding of Early Reading and Writing Development! (STUDY00000986)

Caregivers will complete questionnaires about their child’s history and literacy background.

To become a scientist, the child will be required to...

Participate in computer eye tracking tasks,
Standardized speech, language, and literacy assessments
Complete 3 or 4 sessions each lasting 60-90 minutes

Benefits to participation

Caregivers will receive a report of their child’s speech, language and literacy abilities along with an optional consultation.
Sessions conveniently scheduled at Auburn University

Time & Effort Compensation

Caregivers will receive $5.00 for competition of questionnaires.
Children will receive monetary compensation of $10.00 per research session, up to $40.00 (pro-rate compensation based on time).

Caregivers will complete a questionnaire about their child’s speech and language background.

Children will participate in two screening tests

Directions and Parking

From the Stadium Parking Deck to the Speech & Hearing Clinic

Park on the 4th floor of the Stadium/Heisman Drive Parking Deck. This is the top floor that is uncovered.
Go down the elevator to the bottom floor.
Exit the deck on foot toward Heisman Drive.
Walk through the tiger transit station towards the Haley Center, you will pass the student center on your right. The clinic is inside Haley Center on the 1st floor.
Enter Haley Center and follow signs for the Speech and Hearing Clinic. Go to the Speech and Hearing Clinic and say you are here for research with SLLAC Lab related to Dr. Anna Ehrhorn.
The clinic address is 1199 Haley Center; the GPS address is 425 Heisman Drive
