Auditions and Materials
Auditions for the big band will be submitted online. Please record yourself (on your phone is fine) and submit to the following box folder on or before Wednesday August 19th, 2026. Make sure to state your name, year in school, email and major. You will submit a video of you playing #1-4 on the audition sheet for your instrument found on this web page. A play along track for the blues in F is also located on the Jazz Band website if you wish to play a couple choruses. Your audition will not be negatively affected if you opt not to improvise. The video must be posted by Wednesday August 19th, 2026, at 6 p.m. Please post your video in .mp4 file format (use your phone to record). The link to the box folder is:
Rhythm section:
Auditions for the rhythm section will be held from 2:00 - 3:15 pm on Thursday, August 20th, 2026 in rm. 132 Goodwin Hall. All rhythm players should plan on being at this audition time with your instrument and amp for guitars. There will be a bass amp, piano, and drum set at the audition. Results will be posted on Friday August 21st by 3 p.m. outside room #110 in Goodwin Hall. For further information, contact Dr. Pendowski
