AU Percussion Ensemble
An auditioned group that performs advanced classical and contemporary percussion music, with an emphasis on chamber playing. The ensemble meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday in the fall and Tuesday/Thursday in the spring and performs 3-5 concerts per year. Auditions for the ensemble are open to any student regardless of major. AU Steel Band
Performs the traditional calypso music of Trinidad and Tobago, along with pop and Latin arrangements of contemporary tunes. The ensemble meets for three hours per week and performs 3-5 concerts per year with the possibility of additional outside gigs as they arise. The ensemble is open to any AU student regardless of major. Musical experience is required although steel pan experience is not necessary.
