Auburn University Department of Theatre & Dance to close season with ‘…And Dance!’ concert

Auburn University Theatre and Dance will conclude its 2022-2023 season “& Dance” with “…And Dance!”, the annual dance concert, on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Telfair Peet Theatre Mainstage. The show is conceived and directed by Professor Adrienne Wilson and Senior Lecturer Jeri Dickey and features the Auburn University Dance Ensemble and guest artists.

The final offering of the season marks the ultimate celebration of the addition of “and Dance” to the title of the department. Join Auburn faculty and choreographers Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey, along with numerous honored guest artists from important moments in the program’s history, including Bill Evans, Courtney World and Anne Nelson, to honor the labor of generations of Auburn dancers and dream of the countless possibilities for the future. It’s a huge moment for the program and for the many performers and choreographers who have graced Auburn’s stages and the many audiences who have filled its spaces. 

The artistic team for “…And Dance!” includes directors Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey, guest choreographers Bill Evans and Courtney World, and student choreographers Mackenzie Worden, Samantha Briggs, Olivia Beland, Abbey Godfrey, Melissa Henry, Morganne Svoboda, Mackenzie Worden and Molly Yoder.

Costume student designers include Katherine Snead, Claudia Peeples, Avonlea Yeakley, Adam Stremmel, Meredith Rice, Berkley Peacock and costume shop manager Jenni Salter. Lighting student designers include Eve Jenkins, Olivia Price, Katie Wolfe and Professor Fereshteh Rostampour. The student sound editor is Annabell Mallard.

The dance company includes Whitley Adams, Olivia Beland, Samantha Briggs, Antonavia Collins, Antonisia Collins, Andie D’Amico, Abby Davis, Jordinia Denson, Jonathon Dickey, Kenley Dreibelbis, Abigail Godfrey, Bella Hardin, Andrew Hayworth, Melissa Henry, Anna Hodgens, Katie Leonard, Maddie Maradick, Kathrym Mims, Isabel Rodriguez, Sarah Rollins, Danielle Simmons, Katherine Snead, Kathleen Spoor, Adam Stremmel, Morganne Svoboda, Andrew Vance, Cassie Vitale, Michaela Williams, Faith Wix, Mackenzie Worden, Avonlea Yeakley and Molly Yoder.

The run time for the dance concert is approximately one hour and 20 minutes with no intermission.
