Henry Thompson focuses on the theory of international trade publishing 155 articles ranked in the top 5% in RePEc. He has given more than 150 seminars and professional presentations and chaired 34 dissertations and theses. Thompson finished his PhD under Roy Ruffin at the University of Houston in 1981. Thompson is a founding member of IEFS and Head of ATINER Economics. He consults in energy economics. He spends part of every year in Greece with his wife and artist Madeline Simos. Their daughter Stacy works in human resources in Houston, and son Alexi in the Economics Department at South Carolina State University.
