Michelle McGinnis completed her undergraduate degree while simultaneously juggling the tasks of being a stay-at-home mom, President of the PTA and community organizer. Upon graduation she worked as a staff accountant for a public accounting firm, served as chief accountant for a physician group and was appointed as the Vice President for Finance and Administration for Georgia Electric Membership Corporation in Atlanta. In that role, she provided all financial leadership for a 96 person, community based, state-wide board of directors supplying electricity for the largest area in the State of Georgia. She also provided all administrative, HR and personnel support for the organization.
Since moving to Auburn she has co-chaired the capital campaign at St Michael's Catholic Church, served on the executive board of the Parish Council, and chaired the social committee. Michele also serves as co-chair of the Finance Committee for the Women's Philanthropy Board, on the Library Board at Auburn University and on the board for Women's Leadership Institute.
