Expressions of a BraveHeart

Bravehearts LogoBraveHearts is a fine arts program offering art, music, and dance classes to enhance the quality of life for preteens, youth, and young adults (11–21 years old) with moderate to severe disabilities. BraveHearts is a safe, respectful, and understanding setting participants develop friendships, explore fine arts, and enhance self-esteem.

 

 

BraveHeart Center for Place and Purpose

Center for Place and Purpose LogoBCPP is a joint outreach program of the Auburn University Social Work Program and First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. It serves as an intensive diversity and inclusion training opportunity for Auburn University interns and volunteers across a variety of disciplines. BCPP provide a place where young adults who have special needs are offered comprehensive opportunities for continued growth in the areas of health and fitness, academia, life and job skills, community outreach, and creative arts exploration.

 

Interprofessional Education

disaster simulation student helping an injured personA key component to providing students with real-world experience, interprofessional education is a collaboration between students and faculty in health professions from across Auburn's campus. Collaborators include representatives from nursing, pharmacy, social work, nutrition, and medicine, as well as other disciplines that provide comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare services.

 

 

Global Development Solutions Lab

The mission of the Global Development Solutions Lab is to advance global research, teaching, and outreach that promotes sustainable community development, protects civic space, and leverages the synergies between the disciplines of nonprofit studies, philanthropy, and social work.
