Philosophy Graduate Katie Kirk wins a Fulbright Scholarship!

Katie Kirk, a recent Philosophy graduate, has won the Fulbright Scholarship!
A native of Little Texas, Ala., Kirk maintained a 4.0 GPA. She has held numerous leadership positions including president of the philosophy club and lead writing consultant at the Miller Writing Center. Kirk was selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa, and received the Phi Kappa Phi Most Outstanding Second Year Award in 2016 and the Lillian Unger Pancheri Scholarship in 2016 and 2017. She was the Alabama Philosophical Society Undergraduate Essay Contest winner in 2017. She plans to pursue a PhD in philosophy and wants to become a professor. Her opinion piece, “It’s Pretty Crazy Being a Young Woman In Roy Moore’s Alabama,” was recently published in The New York Times, and she intends to continue writing on topics of philosophical and theological importance.
