Which class has been your favorite at Auburn so far?
My favorite class at Auburn so far was my First Year Experience seminar that I took as a part of the learning community that I was enrolled in as a freshman. This class was a great way to get acclimated with the college setting and allowed for a smooth transition to Auburn!
What is the best technology based resource at Auburn?
Auburn's online system, AU Access, has had any and every piece of information that I have needed during my time here at Auburn. It is set up in a way that allows students to find information regarding classes, finances, and other materials in a timely and efficient manner. If I cannot find the information needed on AU Access, then my second favorite technology based resource at Auburn is Advise Assist, which provides an easy way for me to get in touch with my advisor to answer any questions I have.
What do you wish someone had told you before you started as a student at Auburn?
One thing that I wish someone had told me before I started my time here at Auburn is to put yourself out there and get involved as much as you can from day one. It may be scary at first to step out into a new place in an attempt to find community, but getting involved at Auburn and finding that community is something that you can't pass up or miss out on. There is nothing like the community found in Auburn and the family-like atmosphere on campus. I am especially glad to have joined the peer advisor family here in the College of Liberal Arts because it has brought me a community that encourages me every day and one that I am so thankful for!
Where are your favorite places to study on campus?
One of my favorite places to study on campus is on Samford Lawn during fall. I like to grab a picnic blanket, my computer, and sit and take in the beautiful campus around me. The fall breeze makes studying so much easier!
How do you balance your social and academic obligations?
Balancing your social and academic obligations can be tricky, but what has helped me balance the two is getting into a routine schedule of allotting a certain amount of time each day for these obligations. Writing it out in a planner and setting specific times for each of your social and academic obligations makes it so much easier to enjoy and give 100 percent to these things!
