
Kay Dick
Graduate Teaching AssistantKay Dick is currently ABD in choral music education and serves as a graduate teaching assistant in both the music and curriculum and teaching departments. Mrs. Dick earned her Master of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and undergraduate degree in music education from Louisiana College.
Mrs. Dick comes to the Auburn faculty from thirteen years as a middle and high school choral teacher in Shelby County, Alabama, where the last eight years were spent as director of choral activities and fine arts chairperson at Chelsea High School, a suburb of Birmingham. Over her career, Mrs. Dick taught studio voice and piano and served as a full- and part-time music minister.
She currently serves as soprano section leader for Alabama Voices and membership chair of the Alabama chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. She is a member of College Music Society, the Alabama Music Educators Association, and the National Association for Music Education.
