AU Percussion Day
The sixth annual Auburn University Percussion Day will be held Saturday, March 30th 2019 from 8:30-4:00 at Goodwin Music Building (exact ending time will be contingent on the number of performing ensembles and soloists). There will be performances by junior high and high school percussion ensembles and soloists, the AU percussion ensemble, and the first annual AU High School Honors Percussion Ensemble. Our guest clinician will be percussion composer and teacher Josh Gottry from Arizona State University. Additional clinics will be presented by Doug Rosener and Andy Martin of Auburn University. Attendees are encouraged to bring sticks and a practice pad, as there will be an opportunity to drum along!
Equipment for all ensembles performers will be provided by Auburn University, no trucks or moving are required.
Performing groups may play for any amount of time up to 20 minutes.
The AU Percussion Day is open to the public. Performing is not required, and all are welcome. General admission is $5 at the door. Ensemble directors and children 5 and under are free.
