The David Mathews Center for Civic Life dedicated two new buildings on the campus of The American Village in Montevallo on Friday, February 21.  Over 200 people attended the ceremony and enjoyed a first look at the awe-inspiring Rotunda building and new office building of the Mathews Center.  The Center's purpose is to foster infrastructure, habits, and capacities for more effective civic engagement and innovative decision making, and the new building will allow citizens and work groups to gather to learn, share, and make plans for civic engagement in communities around state.
