About Us

Grounded at the intersection of social and organizational psychology, the INSPIRE lab uses a blend of experimental and multi-time point designs to understand social determinants of health and work outcomes. Our research generally falls into two major tracks. We examine how stereotyping processes bias judgments of others. We also explore the ways in which social and cultural identities shape health, well-being, and work life.

Research interests

  • Social cognitive process underlying stereotype activation and application.
  • Social identity and culture’s effect on health and work outcomes.
  • Factors shaping social mistreatment’s effects on sleep and job success.
