Robin Sexton teaches Foundations of Interdisciplinary Study, Advanced Interdisciplinary Problem Solving, and the Interdisciplinary Capstone course. She earned her PhD in English and her Master of Technical and Professional Communication at Auburn University, and her BS in business-marketing from the University of Alabama. She has over 10 years of teaching experience in higher education and has taught classes in business communication, business writing, technical writing, and composition. She also has five years of management experience in the banking industry. Her research interests include rhetoric, organizational theory, economics, and ethical communication.

Chris Qualls teaches Foundations of Interdisciplinary Studies. He has been on the faculty at Auburn University for over a decade and has taught thousands of Auburn students in his Introduction to Theatre classes over the years. As associate professor in the Department of Theatre, he teaches stage, film and voice acting. He received his MFA in acting from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and his BA in communication studies / film from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also taught at the ASF Academy and has worked as a voice-over actor for the past thirty years. His clients include the U.S. Army, Hardee’s Corporation, Cengage Learning and Caterpillar Tractor. His research/creative work focuses on the integration of classical and non-traditional approaches to the performance of Shakespeare, and the collection, adaptation and performance of oral histories as they relate to social justice and human rights. His play, The Synaptic Gap, was created from over 50 hours of interviews on bipolar disorder, depression and schizophrenia.
