Department of History

The Minor

My history professor is hands down the best instructor I’ve had in college.

A history minor is a valuable addition to any major-- it demonstrates not only academic achievement, but also serves as evidence of versatility and the diverse communication and research skills developed as part of history coursework.  Furthermore, a minor can easily be completed alongside major coursework without delaying graduation.

The History Minor requires the following:

1. 15 credit hours (5 classes)

  • 2 classes 2000-level or higher
  • 3 classes 3000-level or higher
  • Courses can be on any time period or geographic region

History minors should consult the Plan of Study and make an appointment to speak with the department advisor, Mr. Ross Blair (email).
