Julia M. Kerlin Annual Scholarship for Study Abroad

The Julia M. Kerlin Scholarship for Study Abroad has been generously established by Julia M. Kerlin to support students majoring in History who are participating in a College of Liberal Arts Study Abroad Program. It is given annually by Ms. Kerlin in recognition of the great benefits to students of travel and learning outside of their home regions. The scholarship offers a stipend of up to $1,000 to defray tuition costs.


  • Student is enrolled in the History Department in the College of Liberal Arts.
  • Student has a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Student is enrolled in any College of Liberal Arts Study Abroad Program.
  • Student demonstrates a financial need as verified by the Office of Financial Aid. If a student with financial need cannot be identified, the financial need criterion may be waived.
