Perry Colvin is an ABD PhD Candidate in European History.  He received his undergraduate degree in history from St. Mary's College of Maryland.  His Dissertation, under the direction of Dr. Christopher Ferguson, is titled The Lord of the Air: Winston Churchill and the Rise of the Technocratic British State, 1917-1922. Perry's research and teaching areas include Modern British History, Military History, and the History of Technology.  He has taught courses in ancient and modern World History and modern Military History.  Additionally, he has served in a variety of capacities within Auburn's History Department, including as President of the Kappa Pi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, Captain of the Graduate Teaching Assistants (for which he was awarded the Robert L. Patin Award for distinguished service), and currently is serving as the Graduate Student Liaison to the History Department Faculty.
