Tiffany McBride is a native of Columbus, Georgia. She is a public relations instructor for the School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University. McBride has an extensive background in higher education, having worked as an academic advisor, career development specialist, special events coordinator and public relations specialist for various colleges and universities.
She has extensive teaching experience from teaching high school English to teaching business courses, numerous public speaking and speech communication courses, and marketing. She believes that effective communication is important and encourages her students to use their public speaking skills in every aspect of their lives.
She received a bachelor's degree in mass communications and English from Columbus State University, a master's degree in strategic communications and public relations from Troy University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and she is currently pursuing her PhD at Mercer University with a concentration in higher education leadership. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Lamba Pi Eta Communication Honor Society.
Her research interests focus on women in higher education leadership, and bridging the gap between communities and education. McBride strives to educate, inspire, motivate, and encourage those around her both in and out of the classroom.
