Profile

Mike Clardy is the assistant vice president for communications and marketing for Auburn University and an adjunct instructor teaching Writing for Public Relations. He came to Auburn in 1998 and is responsible for the development of marketing strategies and comprehensive communications plans that support key university initiatives. As head of the Office of Communications and Marketing, he oversees marketing, news writing, website design and management, social media, broadcast video, photography, publications, advertising and creative design services. Before coming to Auburn, Clardy spent eight years as a news anchor and reporter at NBC and Fox affiliates in Corpus Christi and Laredo, Texas, and worked in the marketing office of the Atlanta Braves. He earned both a master’s and bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.

 

Clardy is a past president of the East Alabama chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama and is active on a number of other local boards of directors.
