About Me
Rebecca Kitchens is an instructor in the School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University. A native of Texas, she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Stephen F. Austin State University. After teaching high school journalism and advising the school newspaper and yearbook staffs, Kitchens returned to SFASU to work as a graduate assistant while completing her master’s in mass communication. She has spent more than a decade working in the private sector, leading fundraising, marketing and public relations efforts for businesses in the health care industry. She has always loved the academic environment, especially when interactive discussion is used as a primary tool for learning.
