Waiting Lists in Banner (How it works)
General information from the Office of the Registrar on how waitlists in Banner work.
Waiting Lists for classes offered by the College of Liberal Arts by department or school name
Department Chair: Christopher McNulty
Departmental Contact: Nita Robertson nlr0015@auburn.edu, 108 Biggin Hall
Departmental Class Wait List Process
Once a class is full, students are permitted to sign the wait list in 108 Biggin Hall, and must include their e-mail, class standing and major. If a seat opens in a course with a wait list, the first person on the list is added to the class if there are no time conflicts or other scheduling issues. If the student has a time conflict or hold, the student is sent an email giving a certain amount of time to respond. If the student does not respond by the given time, the next person on the list is added or contacted. Students should not attend class the first day and ask professors to add them to the class.

students who would like to add the class.

As a result, students may attend class the first day, but should not ask the professor to be added. Rather, they should follow the process above.
