Leadership Fellows Program
The College of Liberal Arts invites students to apply for the Leadership Fellows Program. Leadership Fellows are selected each year for recognition and service on a unique project to provide an opportunity for leadership development among selected undergraduate and graduate students. Leadership student fellowships provide CLA students with the opportunity to work alongside faculty and administrators on projects that promote leadership throughout campus and in the community. Work will average five hours per week and will take place according to student availability during regular university work hours.
For the 2020-21 academic year, we are offering four (4) student fellow positions.
Two (2) students will report to Julia Wiard, Coordinator, Leadership Minor, for work related to projects coordinated by the College of Liberal Arts in the area of leadership. Two (2) students will report to Amy Shugart, Coordinator, College Programs and Events, College of Liberal Arts.
College of Liberal Arts with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Undergraduate Students: Pursuing (or planning to pursue) a minor in Leadership or Community and Civic Engagement Graduate Students: Coursework emphasis in the following areas: Outreach, marketing, communication, media, leadership or civic engagement Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person. Flexibility in schedule to allow 5 hours of work per week during regular university work hours.
$1,600 per academic year, $800 per academic semester. Payments are made at the end of each academic semester.
The position is for the 2020-21 academic year, although duration is dependent upon positive job performance.
