We study humans and nonhumans in order to explore the comparative mechanisms of learning and cognition, using traditional operant methods and functional neuroimaging. Ongoing projects include change detection, concept learning, and working memory. Our research is conducted at Auburn's MRI research center, Canine Performance Sciences, and in our on-campus lab at the Biological Research Facility.
We have opportunities for qualified graduate and undergraduate students interested in learning more about cognition. Contact Dr. Katz (katzjef@auburn.edu) with questions about joining the lab, or check out the lab members page to get the inside scoop on life in the lab.
