First Year Scholarships
Incoming students are encouraged to apply for annual merit and need-based scholarships offered by the Department of Art & Art History, the College of Liberal Arts, and Auburn University.
The Departmental of Art & Art History provides scholarships to eligible students through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM). Students can easily search, review requirements, apply, and accept awards for available scholarship opportunities. Interested students can apply for all institutional scholarships using this online application. The application deadline is December 1, 2018. Department of Art & Art History Scholarships
The Joanna Campbell Blake Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts with a declared major in studio art (B.A. studio art or B.F.A studio art) with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or a minimum ACT score of 24 for an incoming student. The student must demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to Alabama residents. However, if a student from Alabama cannot be identified, the scholarship may be awarded to a qualified student from Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi or Florida. Applicants should demonstrate achievement through the submission of a portfolio of artworks.
Stern Scholarships are awarded each year to incoming students with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 who are seeking an undergraduate degree in Studio Art (BA in Art or BFA in Studio Art), or in Art History (BA in Art [formal option in Art History]). Studio Art majors should demonstrate achievement through the submission of a portfolio of artworks. Art History majors should demonstrate writing ability and noteworthy scholarship through the submission of a writing sample. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need.
Wade-Sykes Annual Art Scholarship is awarded each year to an incoming student with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 who is seeking an undergraduate degree in Studio Art (BA in Art or BFA in Studio Art). Applicants should demonstrate achievement through the submission of a portfolio of artworks.
