About Me

Elaina Frieda-Siepmann began studying psychology as undergraduate at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Afterwards, she received her PhD and master’s degree in developmental psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her doctoral work focused on second language acquisition in nonnative speakers of English. Following the completion of her graduate studies, she taught for the University of Maryland in a satellite school in Schwӓbisch Gmünd Germany. She returned to the US and accepted a post-doctoral research fellowship in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the Ohio State University. She has been working with the Department of Psychology at Auburn University since 2002. She teaches lifespan development, child development and research methods. ​
