Job Openings in the History Department

 

World History Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor

The Department of History at Auburn University invites applications to fill up to two (2) one-year, non-tenure track positions in its World History program. Appointment will be made at the rank of visiting assistant professor if the candidate has a PhD or at the rank of instructor if the candidate is an ABD. The appointment will begin August 16, 2008, and end on May 15, 2009. The appointments may be renewed for an additional year. PhD expected/ABD considered. The teaching assignment is four courses per semester. All appointees should be prepared to teach multiple sections of core courses in World History with potential to teach one or two courses other than World History if the opportunity arises.

Minimum Qualifications: ABD in History.
