David Burke

Dave Burke hails from New Orleans more or less, and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama in 1994. After taking several history courses at the University of Alabama at Birmingham under professors such as Doctors James Tent and Harriet Amos Doss, he moved to Auburn to pursue a Doctorate in the History of Technology major field. Currently, projects of note include researching nuclear testing in Mississippi during the 1960s, the combat career of the 313th Fighter Squadron during World War II, and the "Ton Up" motorcycle culture of 1950s and 1960s England. Currently, he is a GTA teaching a section of Technology and Civilization, and has worked with a good portion of the History Department at Auburn.
