Bert Frandsen

Bert Frandsen (Auburn History Ph.D., 2001) wrote his dissertation, "The First Pursuit Group in the Great War: Leadership, Technology, and the Birth of American Combat Aviation," under the direction of Professor W. David Lewis.

Frandsen received the Ira Eaker Award, the top award given by Air and Space Power Journal, for an article based on Chapter 7 of his book, Hat in the Ring.
