Position: Fall/ Spring/Summer Auburn Young Professionals Intern

 

Auburn Young Professionals (AYP) is a program of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce for area young professionals ages 21-40 aiming to provide opportunities for its members to connect with each other, grow professionally and encourage service to our community. The AYP intern would have the opportunity to assist the program coordinator in all aspects of the program. Opportunities would include, but not limited to: creation of social media content calendars, assisting in the management of all social media accounts (posting, creating reels, gathering content, etc.), creating membership renewal and recruiting campaigns, assist in the planning and execution of events (to include AYP Tailgate and annual Soiree), creating the weekly newsletter, and brainstorming ideas to engage current and potential members. Intern will also have the opportunity to attend monthly events both for the AYP program and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce.

Desired Experience: The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, manage time well, work both independently and in a team environment, and should possess a positive demeanor with the ability to be kind and provide a high level of customer service. Candidates should also be a problem solver, should be proficient in programs within the Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media platforms (specifically Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), and have a working knowledge or be willing to learn creative programs such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
